The SensDesk portal collects and visualizes measurements from HW group devices, such as Poseidon2, Damocles2, HWg-PWR, Ares (including LTE versions), SD-devices or NB-devices. In addition to basic functions, such as providing a concise overview of the states and current readings of detectors and sensors, graphs showing the history of the readings are also available. Graphs in SensDesk can be also used for additional analyses.

Water or any other conductive liquid is detected along the entire length of the WLD sensing cable. The WLD sensing cable can be extended with a regular cable. This allows for optimizing the costs for a detection zone.

Virtual outputs in Poseidon2 and Damocles2 units allows to use outputs from different Poseidon2 and Damocles2 units (Box2Box). Poseidon monitoring unit sends SMS, e-mail, and SNMP traps whenever a sensor value is outside of a safe range. However, when the temperature or humidity fluctuates, the unit can send tens or hundreds of messages that are unnecessary and bother the user. AN35 describes ways of avoiding false alarms.

S-Hub represents a device which allows connecting RS-485 sensors to Poseidon Family units, as Poseidon2 4002 . The RS-485 bus is connected to the Poseidon model 1250 via TP cables and RJ45 connectors. S-Hub allows connecting up to 8 sensors over RJ45 to a single Poseidon unit. S-Hubs can be connected in series. Though S-Hub's topology can be found similar to Hub on Ethernet it cannot be commuted.

The M1 a.k.a. Monitor one is a monitoring software for Windows that works with SNMP-enabled devices. Besides notifying about alarm status by e-mail and by closing a contact (see AN33), the software also allows to send a text message (SMS) containing a specified text. The SMS is sent via a GSM modem connected to the computer, through the use of an external utility.

We recommend to check the SensDesk portal and reset the ARES device connection. This step can be processed remotely by procedure, using following SMS messages. HWg-SMS-GW3 is a SMS gateway for sending text message alarms over a LAN. HWg-SMS-GW3 is primarily intended for use with HW group products and software. However, its communication interfaces are sufficiently documented for use with third-party systems. This Application Note shows how to use HWg-SMS-GW3 in such third-party systems.

Factory default reset is used for the following reasons: when a password is forgotten, the IP access filter is blocking access to the device interface or if a customer wants to have the device in factory default after tests or for sale to the customer.
